About Nutritional Medicine

  • What does a Nutritional Therapy session involve?

To create an effective nutrition plan, I need information about your body's systems, including:

    ·        detoxification (liver, gall bladder, lymphatic system)

    ·        digestive system

    ·        elimination (bowels, sweating, lungs, skin)

    ·        hormonal system (adrenals, hypothalamus, thyroid)

    ·        immune system

    ·        liver

    ·        microbiome

Changes or disturbances in these systems, along with factors related to career, relationships, physical activity, spirituality, and emotional health, may affect how the body processes food.

You will receive a comprehensive questionnaire that is required to be filled out one week before your first consultation.

  • How long does a Nutritional Therapy Consultation take?

A typical first nutritional therapy consultation usually lasts between 60 to 90 minutes for the first session. During this time, I will talk through your medical history, lifestyle, eating habits, and any specific concerns or health goals you have.

    Follow up consultation

The follow-up consultation serves as a progress check, offering an opportunity to assess how you are doing, address any new concerns, and make adjustments to the nutritional plan as needed.

Together we will review any improvements, challenges, or issues that have arisen since the initial consultation.

We will review how you got on with the nutritional guidelines or meal plan established during your initial consultation.

If supplements were advised in the initial consultation, the follow-up will review your usage and experience with them.

Update goals or create new ones based on current progress.

    Third consultation

Evaluate the changes your made from your first initial health goal noting successes and challenges.

Assess changes in symptoms and wellbeing since initial presentation. Update priorities based on new or resolved issues.

Adjust the nutrition and lifestyle protocol in response to observed results.

Deliver comprehensive education to enhance the client's understanding of how dietary choices impact their health and promote sustainable habits.
